XXIX World Winter Universiade in Krasnoyarsk 2019

Winter Universiade 2019 - student sports competitions XXIX World Winter Universiade, which will be held in Krasnoyarsk from 2 to 12 March 2019 [1] [2]. Previous Winter Universiade either in the USSR or not carried out in Russia.

In 2019 Russia for the first time in its history, will take the World Winter Universiade. November 9, 2013 at the meeting of the Executive Committee of the International University Sports Federation (FISU) in Brussels Krasnoyarsk was unanimously chosen as the capital XXIX World Winter Universiade in 2019.

The symbolism of the Winter Universiade-2019

Talisman Winter Universiade in Krasnoyarsk is a U-Husky - Siberian Husky, a symbol of fidelity, friendship, joy and indomitable energy, a friend who is always ready to help in difficult times.

June 5, 2016 in Krasnoyarsk Yenisei river embankment running countdown clock until the start of the Winter Universiade-2019. The clock began ticking with the 1000 days. Scoreboard gives the exact number of days, hours, minutes and seconds before the official opening ceremony of the Student Games in Krasnoyarsk.

The objects of the Winter Universiade-2019

Universiade Village

Village Winter Universiade-2019 will be located on the campus of the Siberian Federal University, close to Nikolaev and most hill ski facilities:

- A residential complex "University" will be placed on the territory of the villages, taking into account the existing housing infrastructure of the University campus, more than 3,000 beds for athletes and accredited officials;

Regional sports and training complex "Academy of Winter Sports"

The complex includes:

1. Multi-sports complex "Sopka";
2. Sports-coaching block "Snow";
3. Halfpipe complex;
4. The complex of ski trails;
5. Administrative coaching unit "Freestyle";
6. The complex runs for freestyle;
7. Multi-sports complex "Rainbow";
8. Sports-coaching block "Ski";
9. Start-complex to the ski stadium, ski-roller track with lighting and snowmaking system;
10. "Mountain" Sports-coaching unit.

Four Seasons Park sports and leisure fun park "Beaver Log"

The complex opened in 2006. Prepared by 14 runs of varying difficulty, with a total length of 10 km and a height difference of 350 meters. 8 runs have been certified for compliance with the standards established by the International Ski Federation (FIS). Throughput in the winter up to 5000 people. By 2019, it will require the construction of additional sports coaching unit and the device video broadcast system. Currently we are designing a block.

Ice Arena "Platinum Arena"

Prospective construction. Planned date of delivery of the object 2018. Capacity up to 7,000 people.

Purpose: hockey competitions among men, holding ceremonies.

The complex "Biathlon Academy"

The object is open in full in 2011. Featuring sports complex with a hotel (87 seats), shooting range with 30 targets installations, 12 km ski slopes. One-time bandwidth of 106 buildings. In 2013, the complex has received the license of the International Biathlon Union category B, giving the right to hold an international competition level of the World Universiade. By the time the competition will require reconstruction of the (equipment systems, snowmaking and lighting tracks).

Purpose: Biathlon competitions.
